Since 1994 Ron has worked as an award winning ring announcer, TV play-by-play + color commentator for Smoky Mountain Wrestling, XPW, APW, ESW, BTW & far too many, well-respected independent promotions to list. He has now found a home in OVW where his talents can be best utilized.
Ron Hed grew up idolizing such greats as Mad Dog Vachon, Terry Funk, Bruiser Brody & Ric Flair. As far as announcers, Hed always admired Gordon Solie, Jim Ross & Howard Stern.
